THE CORE ARCHITECTURE

What started as a 15-year-old's curiosity for custom PCs evolved into a career defined by precision and business strategy.

Treating every build as an asset, I have managed projects ranging from individual gaming rigs to a S$30,000 server-grade system, while learning how technical decisions shape customer trust, cost, and long-term value.

FLAGSHIP ACHIEVEMENT

The S$30,000
Server Project

One of the biggest challenges I undertook was building a server-grade PC worth approximately S$30,000. This was my first project of such scale, where even a small mistake could have resulted in significant financial losses and damaged customer trust.

To minimise risks, I conducted extensive research on hardware compatibility, communicated closely with the customer throughout planning, and carefully tested every component before delivery. The project was completed successfully and on schedule.

Technical & Business Metrics +

Largest single project handled: approximately S$30,000.

Core risk controls: compatibility research, staged testing, and clear customer communication.

Lesson learnt: taking risks in business should mean managing them, not acting blindly.

Taiwan Attachment & AI Integration

"Global perspective is the differentiator in local markets."

My overseas attachment in Taiwan introduced me to a different workplace culture and business environment. Working alongside professionals from another country helped me become more adaptable, independent, and confident when communicating with people from different backgrounds.

Building stronger financial habits and future goals.

During the DBS Mentorship Programme, I strengthened my understanding of financial literacy and the importance of budgeting, saving, planning, and making informed decisions.

The programme also reinforced the value of a positive mindset. I learnt to view setbacks as opportunities to improve, and that long-term progress is built through discipline, confidence, and consistent effort.

The Vision

Running my own business has taught me how to solve problems independently, manage customers, and make business decisions. However, these experiences have also shown me that practical experience alone is not enough to build a scalable and sustainable business.

My next milestone is Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Diploma in Business Studies, especially the Entrepreneurship specialisation, Data & AI modules, and opportunities to work with industry partners.
